About Jordan Szoo
Jordan Szoo received his Bachelor of Arts from Université Laval in 2013. During his time at Université Laval, Jordan was a Usport medalist and All-Canadian athlete. He obtained a Dean’s list average GPA of 3.67 while studying in his second language and competing as an elite athlete.
He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2017. Jordan was able to gain critical criminal law experiences during his time at U of C. He was an active member of Student Legal Assistance and was a membear of the student executive, filling the role of Trial Division Coordinator. This gave him unparalleled trial experience as a student. He represented clients in a variety of criminal matters, from possession of marijuana to serious domestic assaults. During his 2nd year at Law School, Jordan was an employee of the Alberta Crown Prosecution Services’ Calgary office. Here he took on all manner of tasks from prosecuting traffic court to providing legal opinions to the Calgary Police Service.
In his final year at Law School, Jordan was awarded the Donnel O. Sabey, Q.C. Prize in Advocacy Law, an award offered annually to a student in the Faculty of Law, JD program for most outstanding ability in Trial Advocacy.
Jordan completed his articles of clerkship at Fay Snukal and associates under his principle Rebecca Snukal. He assisted with all types of Criminal defence law matters from murder trials to traffic tickets.
Jordan knows that a successful outcome for his clients can take on many different shapes and forms. He strives to ensure that no stone is left unturned and that every option is pursued for a quick, effective resolution that ensures his client’s goals are met. He is fluent in French as well as English and looks forward to helping you in any way possible. He is currently a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Criminal Defence Lawyer’s association and Student Legal Assistance as a volunteer Lawyer.
